That's a Seahawk trailer in the pic I attached. I get what you are saying. But trust in that I do speak from experience on this issue. I'm not throwing shade to be mean, just sharing experience with a like setup. As was stated, when you are done rigging the boat; if the boat can be moved forward and still be properly weight distributed on the trailer as such that the transom is over the rear crossmember, you will be in a LOT better shape than it sits now, literally.

As far as new trailers that are top of the line; Myco, Manning, and Evolution are top of mind.

And your truck is fine. :D

Hey man, calm down. No one in this thread is negative. Question was asked how much to get this thing running. Many gave their input. That's not being negative. Brian was sharing concerns about the way the trailer fits.

Only one I've seen negative on this thread has been you. Seems your butt hurt over people giving their opinions. This is an open forum where opinions and experiences are shared for the greater good. If you don't like opinions that vary from yours I think you're in the wrong place.

Glad you got what you wanted and you're going to be able to rig it for low $$$$. Saying in a real world setting that it's going to cost around 75k for Joe blow to rig it isn't negative. Saying that a short bunk trailer can cause issues down the road (hook) isn't negative.

Like I said in my very first post - this boat is tailor made sale for someone in your position

So again. Congrats. Can't wait to see it up and running.

The trailer pictured looks like every other bolt together aluminum I beam trailer with the caveat that it doesn't fit the boat. I just bought a brand new one 2 years ago directly from Miami. It has upgraded 17" alloys, led lights, upgraded I beams, torsional axles, and grade E tires for less than 10K.

Regardless if there is an add on option of middle bunks, the main bunks are supporting cantilevered weight. They will warp over time if the boat isn't moved forward on the trailer. Which from pictures looks like there is no more room.

For argument sake how many hours are on said 525's with drives?

You have some great equipment to start with, and this makes you a perfect project with reliable power. You won't loose on this one. Plus you seem to come across with a lot of cool parts and accessories. Good luck with the project, can't wait to see it. Don't worry about the negativity, I was originally talking about someone who had to find drives, steering, rigging, motors, ect, and then finding people to complete some of it. I know you do the stuff yourself, so this works out great for ya. Awesome. I love the color scheme

Didn't really answer the hours question? Guessing if they were purchased for 12k they are tired thus the need for re-fresh. That might be the difference between us...I would never put motors in a 2008 that have more than say 150-200 hours on them from new (nevermind refreshes). Older boat maybe. Not something arguably 6-7 years old. But hey it's your boat now. Enjoy and good luck!!! Keep us posted.
