At a ninety five thousand dollar starting point, what is the least one could be into that boat with basic 525s, bravos, and labor.

In my humble opinion, this would be a decent deal for someone that would do all the work themselves and had a connection to getting stuff or even had some parts / motors already.

You're talking 30k minimum for power, 10k - 15k minimum decent drives and assemblies, but then you're going to get nickeled and dimed for all the little stuff to rig it (guessing 20k). So you're roughly 60kish before installation. If you have to get someone to do it stand by for the labor bill!

Great looking boat. Best bet would be for the shop selling it to rig it and sell it ready to go since they have dealer cost. Same thing I think it was pier 57 did that with the Mercury test cig: tried to sell it derigged but after sitting on it just put it together and sold it whole.

Perfect opportunity for a Arneson conversion.

Hard pill to swallow when their are 2 42xs listed an 05 and an 07. The 05 is being sold at 185k. And the 07 is at 215k. And that's what they are asking. I think this gun would definately cost you 200k when all said and done but it could be more. Parts aren't cheap, boat restorations take time which is valuable. Plus you could buy one of the 42 and go boating next week instead of 2 years from now,......lol. I think it would be a good deal at 60k. Or rig it at least with ransom assemblies......lol

but i laugh when people say youll have 20k for nickel and dime lol someone who has connections could do it very reasonable. it just all depends whats missing. of course if you buy all brand new merc stuff sure.... im curious who will step up and buy it. but like cig rocket said, at 60k i think is where the number real world is

You can see how quick you can get nickeled and dimmed to 20k. Exhaust, props, resivuours, pumps, motor mounts, etc. etc.

I would think 50k would get you some 525's and xr's. Have you seen the boat yet? I wonder about condition on the paint and interior. Completed I would think the boat should be worth 180-200k, so you have some room to work. You know what your doing, good luck I hope you can make a deal.

Biggie smalls must have stepped on the swim platform and broke it off during filming

Could of been a bank repo and it got stripped before they got it back, their was another T-step in a similar condition that sold a year or so a go out of Florida

Nice used 525's fetch 25-30. Used XR's are what 8k each. Transom assemblies in decent shape are 2500 each. I just calculated 60k for bare minimums. Dont see how this is far off...it would be a shame to put used abused hardware in such a nice boat. If the hull sells for 90k, it an easy 150k-160k all in boat plus man hours to put it together.

ahh what do I know ...maybe im wrong not worth it ,,I do know though I have a nice set of drop in 525 efis complete w exhaust .plus a set of xr drives and a set of hp gimbles .and I know I have way way less in them than 60 k maybe I got a deal ??? I do know im lookin for a place to putem though

maybe you got a deal on your stuff...but in general people want good money for things that are in good shape. i know I do. The prices I listed above are about going rate for nice hardware.

swim platform is with the boat .as well as motor plates all pumps and hatch assembly is still in it as well as sea strainers .hell even the batteries are still in it .boat was seized by the fbi
