where are all the 46's and how many for sale?

The other thread made me curious, where are they. Also how many are available. The obvious ones in the classifieds, I've always wanted one and may try to make it happen this year.

Sweet! You going to sell the tiger after all that work you just did?

I would, if the money was right. I've had a couple people contact me once I did it that they would love to have a Tiger that has reliable 850-900's and runs mid ninety's all day long. Truth is I do too, but I have 4 foot itis... I actually have the deck getting ready to be redone in March and new gauges too, so one never knows. If the right deal came along on the Tiger and a 46, yes I would sell.

SS930 02-22-2016 02:57 PM

I haven't been on OSO for almost a year now, so I missed the other thread. Care to share a link?

My 46 is still in Connecticut. The difference between the 42 and the 46 is significant, if you can find a buyer for yours at the right number you should strongly consider the move.

I have not really thought about selling mine as it would be very tough to replace, but I would certainly entertain a serious offer.

I was standing on the bow when I took this pic. Kinda gives you an idea of how much longer the bow on the 46 is compared to a top gun.

offshoredrillin 02-22-2016 03:03 PM

I remember yours, it was at Harrison yachts for quite a while, 900's and 6's... looks great on the water!... the thread was in GD called "where did these boats go" the big diff is nearly all 46's are step hull and until the 39 came out I believe it was the most efficient cig hull.

SS930 02-22-2016 03:12 PM

Correct, it was in OH years ago.

And I'm not gonna start a pissin match here about various cigarette hulls, but I can't imagine being disappointed in the 46!

Wow.......

The 46 I want to own one day is the one owned by member BSHBA (sp) that has the full cabin with enclosed head. It's probably my ultimate cig

The 46 that NCStark had Reggie Jr rebuild could probably be bought pretty cheap.

Was it ever finished properly? I know there was a conflict between the owner and the fountains?

302Sport 02-23-2016 08:56 AM

I honestly don't know, but he had it out running a couple of times and I think it ran about 120 with a pair of 1200's.

jbraun2828 02-23-2016 09:53 AM

The white and orange boat? Isn't that a straight bottom rough rider?

twinscrews 02-23-2016 03:17 PM

My favorite is the yellow Lipship, any pics out there?

Ah! One of my favorites. Tom Abraham owned ot for a while. It's such a beautiful boat. I've posted lots of pics of it in the cigarette pic thread. Cig did a photo helo photo run with it when it was first built. The water was perfect. Had that glassy smooth look but enough swell to air it out so there was prop walk while the boat was perfectly laid out! Awesome pics.

Yea. Tom bought the wow boat from Carlos - older guy that had it built and then built a 50 after tom bought it. I thought it was very nice as the WOW boat but Tom made it ABA, which is a cool theme boat in its own right. Tom then sold it and bought Twisted from the original owner then later sold it and bought his first MTI. Twisted is so insanely nice. The yellow and purple are just beautiful and understated. Insane boat.

American Bad Ass, Americam Muscle II, and another one with 1350's are all listed over on PBN.

there were 2 with a similar paint job, this one is 900's sold by martin marine. I thought i had pics of most of them. Am badass is on the list... but I'm looking to redo a twin stagger w 6's... really dont want to get into switching a trip boat. I like the one cobra has, but even without engines I was told it is bank owned and they think its the Mona Lisa. which ones for sub 200?

Wildman1 02-24-2016 08:42 AM

The badss 46 was Strip Poker. The only part on that boat was the ugly dash. The newer style dash looked much better.

offshoredrillin 02-24-2016 08:48 AM

I never minded the dash on strip, but the funky bolster seats in the front were a little off putting.

I can think of 4 off the top of my head. 2 are advertised and 2 are not. PM me if you want the info.

The 50SS is definately the ultimate cig. I'm more fond of the two light blue 50's "Fly by" and the other one I can't remember the name along with John rosattis old grey/black/red model are my favorites. I also really liked the paint on "NaNaNaNa" the mostly silver with orange stripe triple powered 50. The newest red and black one linked here is a little too busy and the black bottom and fairing take away from some of the nicest flowing lines in the performance boat industry!

Cigarette gets over a mil for each boat and they're on about their 25th or so 50. Not bad. ;)

I was keeping up a thread listing all the 50's in order since the first. But I stopped my membership here so can't post pics and cigarette kept a few of them under wraps for descreet buyers over seas. So the 50 lost got a little muddled there in the end. :D

The light blue 50 with the 1350's is in our marina. I know I'll get bashed for this in the Cig section, but I had to give him a little spanking this summer to show him who was boss.

Hahaha. What's that old saying? "There's ALWAYS someone faster..." ;)
