Buy of the Year!!!

http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...6s-o66451.html

I even called to confirm this was not a misprint. $50,000 is what it takes to pay off the note on the repo. Has been listed on here for some time at $89,000.00.

JerrodGlover 07-15-2016 09:27 AM

Anyone know the history on this one?

frickstyle 07-15-2016 09:28 AM

I always liked that boat. Came for sale when I was halfway through mine. Could have bought that, painted it, and had a badass ride for 1/2 the money.

bigboat28 07-15-2016 09:39 AM

Saw that this morning.

shepnic74 07-15-2016 09:41 AM

That boat won't be there long.

ROB FREEMAN 07-15-2016 09:59 AM

A lot of engine there. That's the problem people are scared of so big power non merc .boats. Price is rite for sure. But 20 k rebuilds people think oh chit how long will it stay together. With price that low. Many will wonder why so cheap. Nice boat. Cruises at 80 if I remember. It's been for sale a while. Nice looking power plants.wonder why the boat center don't pick it and resell ! Seems like money there to be had. I'd trade my aluminum myco plus 5 k for that trailer.

Full Force 07-15-2016 10:46 AM

Who cares history you know what it's worth in parts alone? I am looking into if I should buy it right now... Wife's on board not sure if I want the expense of repairs on that at moment, but wow a deal

Full Force 07-15-2016 10:47 AM

Boat is bank owned I already talked to seller

thisistank 07-15-2016 11:47 AM

That was a members boat. Then I think he sold it.

I just don't get the "non Mercury power" comments. It cost as much or more to fix/service an 850 or 1075 Merc engine. Have a real mechanic survey done and if all is good, go run the thing! Or, make sure the power is good and sell it if you must have Merc power.

frickstyle 07-15-2016 12:18 PM

Buy it Tim.

Cruise at 80? At what rpm, 4500?

Full Force 07-15-2016 12:32 PM

Ugh ... And ya probably... As long as you use some tab .... Lol

thirdchildhood 07-15-2016 12:36 PM

Damn! How low can the market go? Nothing wrong with Chief engines. Did anyone buy it yet?

frickstyle 07-15-2016 12:57 PM

I liked this boat at $89K

At $50K it;s bonkers. This could be someone's backup boat or tender at that price.

ham_r_down01 07-15-2016 01:06 PM

Kidney for sale. Anyone interested? 50k. Maintained with an open check book. Freshwater use only non smoker. Lol.

Full Force 07-15-2016 01:10 PM

Wanna make some $$??? Lol

Why don't you two buy it for $50K, pull the motors and sell me the rest for $20K!

TxHawk 07-15-2016 01:42 PM

No doubt the most contemplated boat in the market for the last 24 hours. I have had multiple conversations about it. It is a buy at $50k. You could possibly run it trouble free. The problem is, few of us could leave it alone. It would have an updated hatch, interior, paint, props etc before most even knew what it would have done untouched. 6 months later your in no different situation than the rest.

I lost plenty of sleep on it!

I would be all for it! But unfortunately, I've already blown my boating budget on what I have and keeping it running. Someone with cash should jump on this one. Even If I was halfway through my project, I would mothball it and buy this to go boating.

Plus, #6 drives!!! That's what some peple are paying for the package. If I had the cash, I would be buying it for that, putting my 5s on it, and sell it.

VortechSS 07-15-2016 03:03 PM

I tried to buy the trailer out from under it awhile back and was told it didn't belong to the boat......

Myco, 6s, Chiefs...... Killer deal!!!! Throw some new paint and Logos on it and ROCK IT!!

misslead 07-15-2016 04:39 PM

dont be afraid of chief power , he builds good stuff

ROB FREEMAN 07-15-2016 05:34 PM

Really. , if you don't think non merc motors make a difference you're mistaken. If this boat had pair of mercury 850. 1075s. It wouldn't be still for sale. Who you kidding. I see what sells. Anyone that doesn't agree feel free to flame on. No one said a bad word about aftermarket power either. Merc power sells period . Just the way it is.

100 percent agree. Some great engine builders. Out there

nailit 07-15-2016 08:12 PM

This boat was down here for a while. Owner had it spotless and took care of it. Never ran it too hard when I saw him running. He sold it and bought a 42 cig.

ICDEDPPL 07-15-2016 10:17 PM

The cheapest thing on this boat is the purchase price.
Brings me back about 4 years ago. Mine was such a smoking deal.
then the $$$ started flying out my pockets $1000 bills at a time for 4 years straight and counting

Those barn pole dances do get expensive......... nonetheless, nice avatar

Full Force 07-16-2016 08:22 AM

That's why I didn't buy it, just not prepared for the "what ifs" right now... Buying the boat is the easy part...

Sick Stinger 07-16-2016 08:52 AM

Boat is a great buy. No questions asked. Rob is correct merc power sells easier no question about it. Was talking about this last night about some HP500s and how they are the wanted motor. Non the less if sone one is in the market for a cig this is it.

SLOWRIDE-388 07-16-2016 04:45 PM

Boat is supposedly sold.....

thisistank 07-16-2016 05:01 PM

Tiger tail tiger with 3a's and big power is a pretty killer buy at 75 as well!!

mptrimshop 07-16-2016 07:55 PM

What's the hardwear hanging off the back worth alone? I was at PBC today and took a peek at the boat. Not that I would get into anything like this, so I didn't look real hard.... Let's say ya gotta rebuild both motors and drives. Cuz let's be honest here it's a bank owned boat.... Nobody really knows what's in the motors... Last time drivers were serviced...

Screamineagle 07-17-2016 09:03 AM

This looks like a steal and with the reduced price they seem to want it gone. The problem I would have with it as well as the tiger Tank mentioned would be with my insurence company, anything above bravos in a rig that old would be hard for me to insure...

outonsafari 07-17-2016 08:24 PM

2 or 3 people so far said they would paint it !

i don't understand the fascination with paint ?

throw a coat on a house you just bought, no problem

de-rig sand prime paint this boat ?

i mean if it had smurfs and teletubbies with a ghosted gay rainbow stripes on it, or a big twinkie the kid on the deck

then i'd paint it, that's a beautiful boat and for what i hear around here what it costs for some of these paint jobs and the down time

the engines could prolly get a freshen up

Tim. Then buy my flat deck and Ill buy this one, win win (seems like the guy backed out on mine after passing structural, mechanical surveys and water test)

Full Force 07-18-2016 05:09 AM

I would only get rid of mine for a smoking deal like this one, very happy with mine and am continue to keep it... when a deal like that pops up you gotta wonder if it's time for a change, just is not for me...

Ironmanwb 07-18-2016 09:47 AM

Was this a factory #6 boat does anybody on here have seat time in it?

I am not a huge fan of the 38 (just my personal taste) but this could be a good deal.

kreed 07-19-2016 06:23 AM

Where the hell is Smokin Gun on this deal??? He'd have this boat apart and parted out in a week!!!!

315duramax 07-19-2016 07:55 PM
