My air cleaners were cut down 1/4 inch to clear hatch for intercoolers with stock weiand blowers. My TBS replacement blowers are not as tall.

Sounds like I need to start tossing out seat cushions to lighten my load & catch up to you!

2001 TSTG. Twin 500 EFI with a few modifications. 550HP per side. Standard XR. 1.5 gear
Ratio. Labbed 4 blade Merc. 30's. 84 MPH. 5150-5200 RPM.

You wouldn't be the first. Someone tacked on step(s) to the bottom of an Apache back in the day. There were stories about it here on OSO in the days of way back.





How fast were the 525/XR F2 TS/TGs? They'd eek over 90 in perfect conditions right?

I've read 87+ with the spec 500's in the F2 class
