Some more picks of the hatch build. Somewhat random order.

we have no idea. Weight wasn't really a concern. All aluminium blocks should keep us equal or less than previous hatches and engine combo.

cabin and cockpit should be significantly lighter.

cool mold!!!! with the big lip that he had on the edge, shame he couldn't have set up a small vacuum pull on it, to help pull resin, can also use cored honeycomb for strength with less weight.

I just let him do his thing. He is old school making sure it will work. he doesn't like to experiment unless he is sure about it.

However he has already taken a ton of weight out of the boat and continues to remove or replace anything that isn't necessary. Even small stuff like bolts are that are too long he cuts off the extra or replaces with a correct size.

Killer!!

Absolutely love seeing someone put the effort into keeping these old treasures alive.

I like your idea for the gas caps.

PS, I’ve been following but the stupid “like” button doesn’t work to let you know.

What type of engine manifolds will you be using to go into those tall recesses on port & stb. sides of the new hatch?

running all the same stuff we had before. Nothing will really go up into the scoops. They are just the air intakes. We have seen too many cracks around the side intakes and we wanted something unique.
