The ride of a flat deck or mistress will be a lot more solid then most others, heavybtirds but worth it, the amount of structure in the old boats is much stronger then newer ones, takes power to move them though...

I have to agree with Scippy , I own a flat deck and they are cool boats. Solid ride in most any water. The mistress is equally cool but if freeboard is what you are after then the only choice in a flat deck is the 38 flat deck. RG.

Sharp looking boat! I think a 38 is probably the best option, as Rick G said the Mistress still has a a pretty low freeboard. Is this boat for sale?

F-2 Speedy . Re-read FF's post that is not what he said . He commented on structure and weight not build material . Quite the opposite of your interpretation . Just saying .
RG .

Correct, the amount of bulkheads and reinforcement makes them ride amazing... if 2 boats are built identical and one is 2000lbs heavier it WILL ride better....
