Calling all Mistress owners....current and past

Now that engines are done need to look at propping again...

What worked best top end? All around?

What was HP, rpm and gps speeds you saw?

I always thought 3 blade mirage was best but seems a few have liked hydromotives?

cigrocket 04-28-2017 01:42 PM

Mirage 3 - (27's I Believe, been a long time ago) 3-Blade when it was TRS - 72-73 5300RPM
Bravo 4 Blade 26" Konrad....Shorter X Dimension 78. Could have been 80 with Prop Work. 5600 RPM

675HP-680HP on the Dyno. Of course the MPH are GPS or else the boat went 100.

frickstyle 04-28-2017 02:02 PM

Tim, haven't you tried like 20 props on that thing?

CIG3 04-28-2017 02:31 PM

For Top Speed the Hydromotive Quad IV is a great prop. They lack a little in the mid range but are great for big heavy "V" Bottoms like the Mistress. Plus they are right in our back yard in Macedonia, Ohio. If you are in the 650-680HP range a 26-27 would be the starting point. I ran them on a 38 KV Scarab and 38 Top Gun with that power with great success.

Not yet, barely tried any... never got to that point before without huge problems

Full Force 04-28-2017 04:30 PM

I picked up a set of 24 hydromotives from my buddy last night

TxHawk 05-01-2017 07:04 PM

Why do I think a 26 Bravo would be a good set to try? Ran good on big heavy 40 Ex with 650's. 75mph

Never said I wasn't! Scarab was a lot lighter then mistress also... that's why I wanna compare to cafe mistress only... I am trying every prop I can

CIG3 05-02-2017 07:42 AM

The X version is designed more for step bottom boats with higher X to provide box lift. Tim should not need this with the Mistress bottom.

StephenA 05-02-2017 03:29 PM

We ran 3 blade Mirage 27s as well with TRS. Still have them if you wish to try them.

Coool...looks like good speed water too.

What did these props do with your last engine config's ?

Full Force 05-09-2017 09:16 PM

Didn't try 24 hydros last year, a labbed 24 bravo did 70.2@5200 with last years engines

315duramax 05-10-2017 12:29 AM

I have never seen anyone stress out over 3 mph so bad before. I'm surprised you haven't tried nose cones yet

Full Force 05-10-2017 04:46 AM

Well, if you had any clue at all.... and you do not.... nosecones do not do anything unless you cannot get slip under control, slip was 11% last week, that DOES NOT require nosecones, it's not about the 3 mph, it's about figuring out where the engines wanna be, now go back to watching Tim change your oil on grandpas boat.... I donlt need input from a kid that don't even have a clue how to do a first of the season start up.... good thing you have someone else doing it... write them checks from dads account.

"Where the engines wanna be"????
What, they are not sure they wanna be in your Mistress??? Lol

Go back to school to learn how to change a spark plug... you know nothing... can't even paint a boat right.

315duramax 05-10-2017 09:21 PM

Dad you and Erika make a good couple. Might not get past 55 now though

Full Force 05-10-2017 09:43 PM

You guys try so hard chit don't even make sense anymore... get over it already...

315duramax 05-11-2017 06:28 AM

I'm telling you. All the fast trs boats use nose cones.

...oh wait that's an oxymoron

Full Force 05-11-2017 08:30 AM

Oh wait... you are stupid... so... you know more then Tom at Hydromotive huh? Again at 11% slip you do NOT need nosecones... that came directly from Tom at hydromotive... oh that's right this is the kid that was going to show Skater the latest in glass work ability.... you have 100% no clue Phil... just stop posting you look like a dunking idiot...
