So, from what I've been reading it seems that its safe to say if my tabs have never been off the boat then they would be on there with 5200 from Cigarette correct? Looks like 4200 is what one would use when remounting them? Sounds like its a exercise in patients to successfully remove them w/out damaging the transome. How does everybody feel about the options of ether pulling the tabs to blast and recoat them or dinking around and doing the job in place? Mine are at the point where they really should be done; I really dont want to start running it on a regular basis in the salt w/out taking care of them, they have quite a few blisters and a couple bare spots..

I just redid mine about 3 weeks ago. I pulled them off the boat to do them. Spent an entire weekend sanding them because I couldn't get the hydraulic piece off - they were corroded in there. I started a thread in technical about what to put them back on with and several people chimed in with their experiences in getting them OFF. One of the guys suggested piano cutting wire to pull them off with. I just put them back on last Saturday with 4200

I got mine off with a razor blade and a scraper and a little good luck I presume because I doubt they had ever been off...
