Default Top Gun Rain Water

This is a 1994 top gun. Just installed new transom assemblies. Everything was sealed when the boat was apart. Put 2 coats of penetrating epoxy on the bare wood cut outs. All new seals. The boat hadn't even been splashed yet...cracked open the engine hatch after some rain. Found water in bilge. Which I guess is normal given the air vents on the side. The more annoying part is that I found rain water in the transom cut out just abover the trim block on the transom assembly. Anyone else have rain water finding the cut out? I pulled the block to drain it but this is not the right solution. Any ideas.

Stop being a cheap azz and store your very expensive Top Gun INSIDE like a real baller would!....no more worries about rain drops!

Water is going to follow the path of least resistance, if it fills up the channel around the top it will go to the back and seep through hatch holes etc. a good sunbrella cover will help plenty with that. also keep in mind it will get in through the cleats as well if they are the pop up style.. just nake sure the air inside is moving so it wont mildew
