in talking to an offshore legend this weekend...name I won't reveal.
I learned that cigarette used 2 molds in the 90's to produce top guns. The difference in molds can be seen in the transom.
Mold 1: no noticable lip in rub rail at transom
Mold 2: noticable 2" lip in rub rail at transom
my question: anyone know if there are inherent differences other than what I mentioned above. I've been on both. The one with the 2" lip seems to ride flatter and less porpoise. Anyone else have similar findings?! Thanks.

We have one of each here, the long rear lip hull is a staggered, 90 mph edition boat, the shorter lip hull is mine. Other than the rear lip, we have never seen or noticed any other differences in the hulls.
