Default 87 Top Gun updates 2018

As most know I picked up a 87 Top Gun, besides engines it’s basically the way it came from factory, needs some Tlc and cleaning, came to me as a turn key running boat, leaving it that way... but will be doing some updates...

i like old school, keeping it old school with a few small updates.

gauges and panel change
blast and paint swim platform
Paint and service drives and clean up Transom
install O2 bungs to run wideband full time
new steering wheel
add A/C
Nice stereo
touch up interior and runnit for year or two, then have it done at XT
Buff and wax it..

this boat could be cleaned and ran but wanna do some of this now..

Tim, I know I asked before. How do you run your O2 sensors?
1. 2 on one engine,
2. 1 on each engine - 1 Starboard, 1 Port, or
3. 4ttl (2 on each engine, 1 in each tailpipe)???

I have the FAST kit sitting in a box and the bungs already in. Just never hooked it up....

I run 1 each engine. You can do 2 at a time so you can tune one engine both sides, then do the other, but for full time monitor I run 1 each

How are you handling the lettering on the dash/switch panels? Would be cool if the lettering and Cig logo could be water-jetted or milled out with LED back lighting.

Tim, check out Envision Composites out of Wisconsin. You can order a carbon sheet and cut to spec yourself then have any logos/labels screen printed at a local shop. Or you could check out 3m Di-noc. I saw a guys dash done with the 3m stuff then screen printed all the labels on it... looked amazing. Just some ideas for you.

Oh yeah, and don't cheap out now, you're in the Top Gun club. Don't make us look bad.
