Default 87 Top Gun SSM SPin in or out?

87 Speedmaster Top gun making 600 HP, spinning or out? Mine is out, others are in seems to be 50/50, what is gains if any? Is docking still suck spinning in even with the bigger diameter props over the Trs? With my Trs it was not worth the hassle of spinning in, wonder how or if is different with Speedmaster III

Not worth spinning in with a #3 boat with the lower HP.

The other part of trying spinning in or out. You have to change the toe of the drives for it to really benefit the swap or even just swapping props and running in reverse on bravos to try it. Makes no sense to try it 1/2 way and say it’s no good. Check and adjust the Toe

Tim the docking isn't bad once you get used to it.

If I remember correctly spinning in has a tendency to lift the stern and on a straight bottom Hull I believe you want to create more bow lift there by creating less drag and thus more speed . But I am not 100% sure just what I remember from other discussions. So given that you are running relatively tame motors like me drag is our enemy. Just food for thought. RG.

Spin them out. It will dock better and be more stable. Not worth the 1 mile an hour speed difference spinning in.

They should spin out. Never really heard of anyone spinnning them in on a Top Gun. No real gain in mph and poor handling at speed and around the docks. Mine spin out and 90 it’s on rails

With a twin step gun there should be gains spinning in...
I know I don' have a gun but I should try spinning them out. They have been in sence I got my boat. And just got used to the way it is around the docks. Every thing I have been told and read talked about how steppd boats seam to run better in.

They spin out now, in every case I seen with old TRS out was better always for most things, I never saw a gain spinning in, figured the same applied on the gun with speedmaster but wanted to check while drives are off...
