Look into the flame arrestors from Arizona Speed & Marine.

I think they are the best looking ones out there. And you could always have an outer plate custom made by any local machine shop.
Some time back, a comparison was done on the dyno with the 496HO. The one that flowed the BEST and made the most HP was the factory SS mesh setup. Take that FWIW. All of the aftermarket options were compared to it.
