Default Grab Handle Removal ?

Anyone ever done this? Looking to powder coat the handles on the Seat backs and dash of my 92 TG.

You have to take the seat apart. The seat sits on a base that is vinyl covered. You have to separate the two parts.

I was able to cut a small holes in my seat bottom and reach up there with a pneumatic wrench and get them off. It was a terrible job for something that seems like it should be so simple. I'd rather pull motors in a snowstorm while wearing a speedo than go through that again

Its has either 6 or 8 screws holding the bolster to the base, then one 3/8 lag bolt with a block screwed to the side. When I flipped my bolster over, the seat bottom holes had like a mesh screen over them and was attached by a couple screws. You can remove them so you can gain access to the handle nuts, I used a open ended ratcheting wrench. Watch out for the staples in there! They can eat you up!!

I actually thought I was in the AT section when I responded. Looks like Cigs are probably the same way though.
