How did the clear plastic protectors do??
How are the intercoolers being fed with water?? If water is always being pumped through them it can cause fuel puddling and a rich condition. |

For one ride I cut off flow but it didn`t seem to affect them much.... but I didn`t have enough time to play with tune. Water at idle really makes such a big difference? |
Thats one of the nicest Flat Decks out there. Love it!

Saw Dan's hot rod @ LOTO this yr.....she's sweet......your behind Bud my engines are already out....:D

So you put hook in it? Interesting. But if the wedge is only outside of the lifting strakes it comes out of the water at higher speeds? Makes sense. |
Dan, boat looks even more amazing in person. Enjoyed seeing you all at PBC Fall Harbor Hop with Kyle Lewis. |

Dan, Did the wedge change your cruising speed or hurt top end much? I'm interested in doing the same. IMO, even if it did cost a mph or two on the big end, It would be worth it to increase cruising efficiency where I'm normally dragging tab... |

Yep, especially if they were tuned for idle without the chillers and especially with the cool water temps of Lake Michigan.
VortechSS , by all accounts I lost 3 mph on the big end and nowhere else. Actually picked up 3mph at cruise (different ratio drives) However totally worth it , she flies straight and the hop is gone. Tfarmer turned me on to this mod and sold me his 5`s. Those Canadian farmers... they`re alright |

I was at ROTO with 80* water but yes, 3 turns out on the carbs vs. 1.5 without chillers. I`ll be re rigging that set up. with engines in it is hard to put in a separate pickup.

I changed pulleys from -3% to over drive the blower at 2%. ends up being about the sme boost (7psi) with chillers. At the end of the day trying to make this heavy 80`s era boat fast is a waste of time. I got 90mph out of her once. I`m fine with that. At this point reliability is my main concern.

That's one badass Cigarette ICD. Well done Cig brother

Does the clear film provide any better traction for walking on without slipping ? What ratio do you have with the new drives?
|
Looking good Daniel, Its gotta be the nicest tank out there! You’ve set the bar brother! I’m really hoping someone buys Beast and does that thing justice... Have a good Thanksgiving. |

wow, starving that engine of oil, that could have got expensive.... I've always had good luck with felpro, and no cork for me
|
Pressure was fine at low rpm but started to decrease after 3500. Now it`s obvious why .
I`ve used the one piece gaskets in the past and those damn things leaked. Tried the cork, no leaks but then this so this time I`ll go: https://www.hardin-marine.com/p-1177...evy-gen-4.aspx |
