Default Cigarette adventure year 5

This year I put clear bra material to protect the hatch, Side cig logos, and dash, various other parts on the boat that see lots of traffic.

Put the outer strakes back on that I removed 2 years ago and added a Tres Martin "wedge" . Eliminated the hop completely. She rides like a dream again.

Rebuilt the transom assemblies and switched from IV`s to V`s

Added intercoolers :
Not sure if I will keep. Idle is terrible surge is even worse. keeps dying in gear . Not a fan. None of those issues existed before the intercoolers.

Some new tips, fun for one year but at 122 decibels a bit loud.Going back to the mufflers.

Blew out an intake gasket:

made Boating great again

This year I`ll pull em out and go thru the engines.. probably have over 150+ hrs and tons of miles .

We`ve been all over , great memories on Carpe Diem.

How did the clear plastic protectors do??
How are the intercoolers being fed with water??
If water is always being pumped through them it can cause fuel puddling and a rich condition.

No issues with the film, besides the edges you`d never know it`s there.
Easy clean up.
I was feeding chillers at idle.
For one ride I cut off flow but it didn`t seem to affect them much.... but I didn`t have enough time to play with tune.
Water at idle really makes such a big difference?

YES!. Will cause poor Idle. Very Rich and then you have to continue cleaning them out. Plugs get fouled

So you put hook in it? Interesting.

But if the wedge is only outside of the lifting strakes it comes out of the water at higher speeds? Makes sense.

Dan, Did the wedge change your cruising speed or hurt top end much?

I'm interested in doing the same. IMO, even if it did cost a mph or two on the big end, It would be worth it to increase cruising efficiency where I'm normally dragging tab...
