Very nice looking boat but you asked for opinions.......
Looks like I'm in the minority but I'd still update it. Something traditional, maybe paint the hull and add similar stripes to original and matching deck stripes..?

None of this really matters because the only person you have to please is yourself. Play on a computer with some colors, search google Images for Cigarette boats and get some ideas. Ask yourself if YOU would have any more pride or enjoyment running the boat with new colors and there's your answer. :)

Please keep us posted.

Resto-mod = A tip of the hat to the vintage flair done with modern mechanicals, supplies, and techniques.

I don't see anything wrong with painting it. Maybe even consider solid white.

One of the most famous Cigarette 35 race boats is, of course, Carlo Bonomi's 1974 Dry Martini. With legend Ritchie Powers throttling, it won the World Offshore Championship in 1974, Mr. Powers' 2nd World title. It was the 3rd Cigarette 35 made. Due to its success at Cowes in the classic class for several years now, last year with Mr. Powers back in it after over 40 years, its looks personifies offshore racing in the 70's, especially in Europe. Your 35 Mistress has got the Martini Racing Team's colors and with an addition of another thin stripe or two would be perfect. However, most people like to keep things original and I find Your Mistress eternally stunning as she is!

Your boat is perfect the way it is, don't change a thing.

I'd say backdate everything that's been updated besides the mechanicals: the mechanicals I'd further update, maybe some whipples, look for original switchgear etc etc, back to original polished throttles, go over all the wood to a mirror finish, refresh the paint, gelcoat. Maybe add some trick hidden modern appointments. Going back to original gets harder with every passing day; updating is easy..
