The nicest Mistress I've every seen was Bob Schaefer's boat. I looked at buying it, went with a Café instead. Should have bought it.

In my opinion, as long as that windshield and shape is on it, its going to look old (school) no matter how you paint it. I would say own the old school exterior and put the money into modern mechanical upgrades.

I want to say it was a 79 or 80. I’d have to go back to my notes.

Looks great with original paint. I was going to recommend the classic hockey stick paint job anyways. Maybe put a coat of clear coat on it if it's chalking up. I'd keep the original design. Agree with TxHawk, money better spent on mechanical upgrades.

I have a 1978 cigarette mistress with triple deck hatches. And beautiful teak inside with a cool naked lady wood carving inside. And a newer paint scheme. Like to find out more on my boat. Pics show a name Schaefer under console. When built love to find out what it looked like originally, I just bought this boat

Is it this boat? I cant see why it wouldn't be Bob Schaefer's
old boat? Can you post some pics of the boat?
