Default Considering a 50 ft Marauder

I currently own a 47 fountain and I am considering making an offer on a marauder with 1350/1550. Anything I should know; good, bad, or ugly? Were there any significant changes in any given model year. Thanks in advance.

I have no practical advice to give but I know you'll be the biggest badass at the dock.....

First 9 or so were stretched 46 rough riders with a 3rd motor put behind the twin front motors backwards from typical fashion. Cigarette was concerned with CG. Most of them were built with 1075 Mercs. The gold one "Five-0" had 700’s with the center motor exhaust going through the bottom. Phil built it for an older gentleman that liked to run over to the Bahamas and wanted to be able to run quiet at night while pulling into the marinas. it was also the first to have the triples set up in traditional style with the two at the stern and one in front of them). One of the first 3 or so had 850’s. Rest had 1075’s. Phil built the first staggered 50 dubbed the 50 SS for John rosatti (it’s currently for sale). It was the first 50 that was esthetically correct. The bow was lengthened, the cockpit pushed back a bit so the deck went on forever. 1350s had just debuted. Some had concerns the CG Might not be right but when it was done it was an absolute home run. After that new mold was built and about 30 more 50 SS’s followed. Then last year whole new mold for the widened 51.

Best of the best. Cigarettes flagship.

Theres a couple nice ones on the market right now. Just know that they’re aging and at least one that’s for sale right now needs the motors and drives completely gone through and that is basically gonna double the asking price.

Good luck with the hunt and purchase. Bad ass ride. Here’s a thread that lists many of them but not all. A bunch were built and shipped out of the states by discrete clientele.

how many marauders?

personally I think #13 (Voodoo - which is for sale right now for 575ish) And #16 (Flyby) are my favorites. The blues work very well.
