Can someone post pics of the underside of "Hot for Teacher" hatch? Or other twin step modern hatches?

Trying to find a solution to modify the underside of my hatch/vinyl. It wears, and rips because the hatch sits on vinyl around the lip of the engine compartment.....

my hatch pad sits on top does not wrap around the sides bottom, it is screwed on from the under side, there is a half moon adhesive foam on the underside of the hatch to make the seal.

I have Dave's masterpiece hatch with liner. Dave, do you have any underside pics before upholstery? Saw a few where the upholstery ends topside, just like Speedy says.
