Ed! Thanks for the seemless process and going out of your way to make it happen. It was a pleasure working with you. Definitely hope to see you on the water!

thanks! Pretty pumped. Won’t see if though til probably April. It’s going directly to my son in laws shop (Barrett custom marine) in havasu to get Seadeck put in, flush GPS, new head unit, underwater lights etc. then over to adrenaline to have the trailer completely gone through. Hoping to be at Supercat fest west in havasu in April.

Congratulations Tank! What a bad azz Gun you chose.CLEAN! Love it. Best of luck with her, looking forward to vids/pics and SPEED numbers. 👍

Congrats man!!!

Wildman_grafix 01-15-2024 05:55 PM

Congrats, I am not a straight bottom gun guy but that one sure looked like a LOT of hardware for the money. And I like the paint.

Should be a blast to run in some rough water.

I was looking at twin steps. Was VERY close to buying the one Bobby had with Zul’s but I kept going back to the fact I’ve always wanted a #6 cigarette. Only a few TS guns with 6’a and while there is / was the purple one for sale and it’s pretty bad ass, my family really enjoys the full cabin of the straight bottom guns. Plus RWD had a recent 350k refit, low hours super clean agreeable price. Done and done. I’m also on a particularly good position to own a “high maintenance” big powered boat with my son in law being one of the best in the industry. So, it came together. Should be fun.

thanks for all the well wishes everyone. Lots of pics and videos to come I’m sure. I’ll keep this thread alive. 😁👍

Helmwurst 01-16-2024 07:34 AM

Congrats! Good boat, well done.

Wildman_grafix 01-16-2024 07:58 AM

Nice Tank and yes those old guns (and 35 cafes) have about the best cabin in a go fast.

I would take a 6 over a TS bravo boat any day.

thisistank 01-16-2024 11:17 AM

Thanks guys.

gotta thank the guys over at central power and rigging for doing a thorough pre inspection. Since they’re the ones that did all the updating work, they’d be the best to go through it and ensure it’s still tip top. Also gotta thank buddy Rob aka lake p.a.l. For picking up the boat and storing it until it c in snout west in a few weeks. He’s also dragging it out. 😁👍

and of course, thanks to Ed Again for putting it all together and dragging the boat over to CLR, meeting Rob later etc all while dodging a blizzard. Lol

PICS Shined up ready to go. Picked up at CPR and in storage now out of the cold.

nope. Hot for teacher is a TS. Both boats were out here in So Cal originally though. This boat was commissioned as runnin with the devil. Factory 6 boat.

Congratulations Tank, that is and awesome boat. I am sure you and your family will love it. Look forward to seeing it at next year’s rendezvous. You should be in the 100 mph club now. :Score-101010:

funny I remember that day. Nort rode with Ron. Jim Neely owned the 42 tiger and uncle Joe on here dropped his eliminator in and ran from Newport to long beach for lunch.

we all met up at yardhouse. Good ol scope days.

yep Jeff was running speed racer that day as well.

he had sold Ruckus to Anna / blonde cig chick and grabbed speed racer. That was pretty soon after it came back from cigarette getting re-wired.

Here's something you can put in your log book the original build sheet from Cigarette

that is awesome. How’d you end up with that?!

I was able to get all the build paperwork for our cafe from Mindy when she was at cigarette. Pretty cool.

Not quite sure, I believe it was on Ron's Facebook page if I remember correctly.

thisistank 02-03-2024 04:28 PM

Whelp, after slapping new tires on and having a local trailer place swap the nonworking drum brakes for all new discs and new EOH unit, checkin all hubs and bearings, buddy Rob is loading up and heading west for havasu.

Yea, knew the trailer needed some work for a long haul.

I knew the trailer needed overhauling. Still not down with the trailer frankly. Gonna get working on stripping it down and getting it painted, cleaning the bow, put a ladder in, all new wiring and LED lights etc. just needed to get it road worth before it left. All
good. The guys at truck country in Versailles Mo did a great job. Quick and fair pricing (if anyone out there needs trailer work ever).

gonna need a good bath after all this rain and road grime

bencini231 02-04-2024 04:45 PM

Hey Tank, just leave the cover on and have the presure washer ready with the foam cannon attached when it shows up. We did that with Remedy after coming through a monster rain storm on the way home from Lanier last year and it worked great to get all the grit and grime off before hand washing.

yeah I’m not worried to much about it. Already talked to the detailer. Otll
get a deep clean and engines polished etc.

it’s tucked away in shop
in havasu now. Dirty. But safe and sound.
