[QUOTE=thisistank;4918324]man, you are asking all the questions I can’t answer right now lol. I can’t remember if it’s leaf or torsion. I think leaf spring. 6 or 7k rated axles I believe, again can’t remember. Trailer was built for the boat. It’s a Pacific trailer. And the EOH system was just upgraded last year before I had the boat brought back from LOTO. upgraded to disc brakes and all new hubs before the haul out and they had to put a new EOH system to manage the disc brakes. I just can’t remember wtf system it is.

My myco trailer was also built for my boat back when Mark McManus was a sales manager @ Cigarette ....reason I ask is, (I believe) my steel trailer has (3) 3500 lb. axles, seems to be bear minimal for my 35' Mistress. if you account for the boat Approx. weight 8,500 lbs. plus, if full 225 gal. fuel tank = 1,575 lbs....both together that more than trailer capacity. I've trailered this boat from Punta Gorda, Fl. to N.J. with electric brakes, but I'm over edge numbers wise.

if that’s the case, yeah, you’re pushing the limits for sure!! Our boat dry weighs 9500, Todd’s be 14k all said and done rollin down road.

thisistank 01-17-2025 03:39 PM

Whelp, worked out details with Adrenaline Trailers. Gonna go ahead and have it completely sand blasted and pained while it’s there.

second, just picked up the whaler. All
fresh rerig, new merc 90hp, electronics, paint, railings, cabinets etc etc. should make
for a fun little fisher for the kids and harbor cruiser.

would love to get to the level where I could throw the keys to my sons to take the cigarette out on their own. We’re a ways off of that though. 😂

I was trying to quote scippy's post but didn't work.

Either way, from what I've seen, axles rated 3500 and less use 5 lug wheels, 4-6k rated axles use 6 lugs and 7k+ use 8 lugs.

Greetings from Belize. Highly recommend this place. Private island. Guy that owns it lives in Newport harbor. 75’ yacht. Old havasu / river guy. He was here the first night. Nice guy. Young! Like 50 I’d say.

seafordguy 02-02-2025 09:20 AM

I’m a bit surprised that trailer has 6 lug wheels. Heavy Boat!

Either way, looking good man. Not a lot of bang for the buck on trailer maintenance, but got to be done. I just put all new wheel bearings in my trailer this week. Glad I did - it had been a few years and they were beyond their sell date.

Can you PM me the info? We do a father son fishing trip every year -- this is year 34-- and we are always looking for cool new places to go.

yeah. 6 lug. The trailer was built for the boat when it was brand new. Tows real nice. I’d rather have an aluminum But I’m pretty happy with the way it tows launches and retrieves. Looking forward to the upgrades.

here’s the place. It’s very very cool. They organize tours and fishing trips diving etc if you want. 3 meals a day and the food is terrific. all you can drink alcohol, snacks etc. great staff too.

2 bedroom house on the water was $9600 for the week. The smaller ones are like $3500 for the week. Something like that. Direct flight to Belize city for us from LAX. Round trip tickets were 2200 for 1st class. Totally doable trip that won’t break the bank.

here’s their website. Shoot me a PM if you want more info.
