Default Trying to Find my Dads 38 Top Gun

Hey everyone not sure if anyone can help as it’s been several years. I’m trying to find my dads 1994 Cigarette 38 Top Gun. The boat spent its time in Ocean City, New Jersey. Just south of Atlantic City. Putting a picture in the next post. I believe the boat was sold to someone up in New York or Connecticut around 2006. Never put new motors in it during ownership but needed new motors when we sold it. Just trying to find the boat I grew up on!

can't post links or photos yet...so here's a link to the dropbox with the photo

Good looking boat! The docking lights should help ID it if it was repainted. Do you have any old insurance or documents with the HIN?

the HIN is CRTUSC09L394. I put it in google and all I got was an ad for a 35 Cafe Racer. So there’s a mistake on that ad most definitely.

I believe that HIN is correct for a Cafe. If it were a Gun, the 6th digit would be a T. (C=Cafe, T=Top Gun, P=Playboy, U=Unlimited, etc.. ) Might check that again.

Was this the boat behind a house in Sheffield Lake, OH up to a couple years ago? Story was not for sale, engine problems and one day it was gone.

Interesting...I just went back through the documents I have, on one piece of paper FROM cigarette the HIN is CRTUSC09L394. However, on another piece the HIN is written in as CRTUST27L394...guessing the CRTUST27L394 HIN is the right one...

Its tough to say because this "style" paint was pretty popular with subtle changes..if you have any more info that'd be great
