Default Top Gun Cabin Door

Hey guys. After sitting all winter, the cabin door on my 2005 Top Gun is very slow opening and even requires a helping hand sometimes. It is on track and the fluid level in the pump is fine, but it still isn't working correctly. The pump sounds normal when you hit the switch and I have even tried oiling the track and rollers with no luck. I am thinking that maybe the pump is on it's last leg, but thought that I would ask you guys before ordering a new pump. Any ideas?

I forgot about this thread, but just came across it and wanted to post an update in case somebody else has this problem. We removed the hose going to the cylinder to see if the pump was actually moving fluid or not. It was, but the fluid was foamy, suggesting that it was drawing air from somewhere. We put the hose back on and went through the other fittings to be sure that everything was tight. When finished we tried the door and it started working. It was very jumpy at first, but as we cycled it to remove the air from the lines it eventually started moving normally. None of the fittings seemed to be particularly loose and there were not any leaks, so I am wondering if it just somehow had an air lock that removing the hose corrected. Maybe one of the fittings just needed to be snugged up a bit to prevent it from drawing air. I don't know, but it is working correctly now. Not 100% sure what fixed it, but this may help if anybody else has this problem.

Hi Will - Did you check to see if there is any air in the lines? Air in the lines will make hydraulic actuators sluggish. I'm here most of the time, As always, I'm happy to help. I'm in West OC every couple of days picking up fresh seafood. Barry

Oops Will, I didn't see your second post. If you still have my cell number, give me a shout.
