Trim ram line question.

Morning, I sprung a leak on one of my trim ram lines that go from the pump down through the lower inner transom plate to the divider block on the outside of my bravo drive on my cafe. Does anyone know the proper lengths of lines 1 and 2 for a Cafe in this pic? Thanks.

Not sure where your leaking from...but when we sourced new trim hoses I was shocked at replacement costs. Was quoted 800-1000 for all four lines primarily because the hose was 15-20$ per ft.

Our hose was still in good good shape but ends were shot. We ended up having a shop custom fab new ends with all SS. It was $100 all in.

Also not sure on length...there is a length difference between port and starboard. When we had ours out they were somewhere between 14-20’ can’t remember tho

You sure the hose is cracked or did the distribution block break? I've had a couple of those crack..

Real good to know, thanks. A few people have mentioned having them made. We’ll see if my po-dunk town can support that task.

I havent pulled the lines yet;I had trim
oil coming out of the orifice that the lines go through before they’re plumbed to the divider block.

Do you remember what the fitting sizes were?

seafordguy 07-16-2019 07:37 PM

I'd unscrew the block from the bottom of the TA and take a look around. I won't be surprised if the fittings in the block are broken....

I pulled it all apart this afternoon, one of the adaptor fittings (37 degree inverted flare) was fukt. the lines are fine. I need to order new distribution block, trim ram lines, and adaptor fittings.
