Right, I’m happy that I grabbed some parts in the last moment so I have something to do while I cannot go to the boat. Not much of an accomplishment but better than nothing.
But even as I try to do everything as thoroughly as possible, soon I’ll be running out of things to do.
Trying to buy some spare parts online for the water pumps, but looks like both here and in the States there are delays. Well, I have time, will give it a try.

can’t wait to see the continued progress. Congrats on Beautiful Cig. You have to keep posting pics. Vegas is locked down as well so knocking out a few projects in my boat as well. Wish it was a TG, some day I’ll make the switch😁

Thanks man, and I thought people are already annoyed by me posting dirty engine parts.
Good luck with the lock down, it’s boring and makes people wash tailpipes on the balcony and posting photos of it :picard1:

After two months of lock down I could finally go back to my boat and continue working.
Man, that engine hatch is heavy, but taking it off was a piece of cake with the new crane

Help me identify my drives, did some scratching (again) and found the serial numbers.

Somebody can decode it or have a link for me?

Is that B576241 or is it an 8?
I thought up to 1984 it was 7 digits and after that 8 characters starting with a number, then a letter, then 6 more numbers, such as '0F456123'.

The other one seems to be B576140

I've got to tell you we really take for granted how easy we have it. Just today I ordered intake manifold gaskets and a SS fitting from Hardin and will have both in a day or two. It would be so frustrating to be in your position, waiting on parts, dealing with availability, access, etc. I admire you patience and drive.

When you went in to lockdown for 2 months, did you shut one of the local workers inside the shed with some polish and a bag of clean rags? Looking pretty darn clean. :)

haha, you know the locals, they take two months of vacation and when they have a chance to get back to work and make some money, they disappear. Like my mechanic who was supposed to come but he didn’t and is offline now. I need him for pulling the engines.

And yeah, shiny, isn’t it? A lot of elbow grease by yours truly
