Or be fortunate enough to have a friend with a Cig that invites you along which has happened for me a couple times. It is an absolute blast to participate. Just being down at the lake during the run is worth it even if you aren’t participating. Lots of eye candy to take in.

Had a freakin riot. Ready for next year already.

Ran around all day thursday, no issues.
Friday came ran to Red Heads no problems.
Go do the run , idle out (10 minutes)and then idle for 15 minutes waiting on everyone to get in place.90* ambient, water 80* or so ..

The run starts , my heat soaked engines go into guardian mode because I set those parameters for lake michigan water and air temps not Loto.
Intake temps are 180* , I have it set to go into guardian mode at 170* and let me have full power once it drops to 140*

Would only allow me to do 2500rpm, I try and get water running thru the chillers at that RPM to cool the intake temps down but that didn`t work.
Second group left .. I`m like really?
Break out the Laptop , change temps to 200* and off we go , there was still a few people we could run with and maybe get some nice heli videos.

5 minutes later, Hit a cruiser wake and port engine dies upon landing , I`m like common!!! Would not restart .
Sit there a while trying to figure it out , had fuel, had air .. couldn`t figure it out....meanwhile we`re getting tossed around from all the wakes .....start limping towards the condo when I had a thought about the sudden impact maybe a wire fell off the coil relay.
Sure enough that was it.
Put ground wire back on relay and we were back in business.
Disappointed I didn`t get to run with everyone.. of course for the rest of our trip it didn`t skip a beat... standard.
