i know you sold the scarab, then bought that 39. what made you choose that scarab? not speed, not technology, not a light hull...

I am just curious ! I just don't get it !

Enjoy your 39 anyways!

Ha, Here you go. Worst boat purchase of my life. 43 Scarab, Triple 600 SCs with SSM 5 drives.

A little much for no drives or engines but I really like CS . I have drives and power for this boat but needs to be closer to $80k .
Lets see how long it sits, they dropped it to $149k recently

Judging from the pix it looks like she's been uncovered and sitting for a little while.

its been sitting in heated storage, i think just cockpit cover... no time to finish it right. i believe he has engines and drives available too... nothing a good cleaning wouldnt take care of from his descriptions on fb.

Too bad. One of the sharpest 39s out there imo. What happened to the evolution trailer?

Mike sold for $210K with power and drives.
Guy jacked the engines and drives and swaped trailer and wants $150k
Seems like a good deal.
For him!

Default Buyer Beware!!!

Let me start this by saying I don't know everything but I am very resourceful. I spoke with cigarette great customer service and I'm not a customer yet. I spoke with 2 previous owners. I was very lucky that my brother just moved from Italy and speaks Italian well. We were able track down the owner when the boat was in Italy. The seller and I agreed on 120k before I had survey done. I got the results from the survey and was iffy. I grew up in the area and have friends and family to visit so I figured what the hell road trip. I took $100K in cash and a cashiers check for 20K made payable to cash. There is no less than 30 dock dings on starboard side alone. most all the way through about the size of thumb nail. I didn't count the port side. Seller and I agreed at minimum 15k for interior and we disagree on paint i say no less than 18K Seller says $7500. Plus 5-8k misc. plus the JL audio is junk in that boat. I took a shot and low balled my offer at 85k in cash. I might have pissed him off no biggie. I made a few calls and was advised all the money was 100K if i really wanted it so that's what i offered. he was willing to accept $110K. This vessel is not as described. I am gonna post some high lights and low lights from the survey. I don't have social media so please if you see the boat online please share thread. At the end of the day, I kept my cash and I was a serious buyer @ 100K. I hope someone buys it and saves it. the center steer is cool but it does hurt the value not sure if he's aware of that or not or if he's just trying to capitalize on a crazy market. I have pics. but because i am new to OSO i cant post them.

These results are from a surveyor.
Here are the findings and recommendations from your “Structural Survey” for the 2005
Cigarette Top Gun with HIN: CRTUSU051405
4. A repaired area on the starboard hull midship has elevated moisture readings, 50%.
This should be inspected further.
5. Elevated to wet moisture noted around the transom drain plug, 100%.
6. Elevated readings only noted around the centerline aft stringer towards the lowest
section, 30%.
7. Misc areas of headliner material are sagging or have been reattached.
9. Elevated moisture noted around the thru hulls, starboard side midship
11. Stains noted on the cockpit deck. Appears to be an oil leak from under the helm.
13. Multiple scuffs and nicks on the vessels hull. Some of the chips do go into the FRP
15. Most of the trailer bunks are missing hardware.
The Overall Vessel Rating and Condition: “Average”.

Well that`s good info.
I thought $80k before all that mess. Your offer is more than fair, if they didn`t take it thats dumb, they had a guy with cash in hand ..... going to sit on that boat for a long time unless someone doesn`t do a survey.
On another note How do you get 30 + dock rash dings? These people not use fenders ? I have 0 on my boat . Theres always at minimum 3 fenders out back mid and front , one person on bow another on stern making sure we do not hit anything ever.
