Still have it. We have it for sale, but everything is for sale... LOL. But we decided to keep working on updating it. So my upholstery guy is in Georgia for the rest of the year, and I am looking for another local one to do the bench seat, the bolsters, and the sunpad. I am trying my hand at rebuilding (as in building new) the stock gunwale upholstered panels. I think the port side came out well. The speaker holes are cut out of the base wood, but haven't cut the vinyl yet. Stereo guy has more experience and will cut the vinyl and rewire the speakers.

Have all new door rollers, powdercoated the sliding rails and the caps for the cabin door, and the bolster stands. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...13e06c5968.jpg Having new Trim, Throttle, and Shifter cables installed, and wanted to rewire the engines to the helm station at the same time, but don't know if that's going to be in the budget before summer. When we bought the boat, the freshwater (sink and shower) system wasn't working, as was the freshwater side of the head (intake.) Diagnosing electrical with my stereo guy hopefully this afternoon, and found the Jabsco pump online. So if there is power to the pump, its a simple replacement. But either way the head intake pump is getting rewired. The current pump is wired in with residential wire nuts. The saga continues... |

Did the striker latch I made you work out.

Yes, it works perfectly. I just had it powder coated and put back on. Had some boat drama as of late...
Boat got burglarized at the storage facility. Luckily it was unlocked and they didn't damage anything. They stole the new stereo, 5 speakers, and tried to steal the amps. They only got the speakers that were loose in the cabin, as I had the cockpit interior completely removed. Our local Sheriff's dept. were able to identify the thieves from video. (they also stole a pickup truck and rammed the gate to get out;) Louisiana has a special breed of stupid criminal. They were supposed to cut an arrest warrant for them friday. After that debacle, my fiancées daughter was coming into town and wanted to take the boat out. So I reinstalled the cockpit upholstery and did the normal recommissioning maintenance. We had 2 good days on the water, and on the way back on the second day, we were running exactly 60 MPH across the lake in foot and a half waves, when someone on board asked to stop the boat. Stopped with no problems, and hit nothing. But when we got underway again, the boat seemed like it had spun the port prop. After a good hour and a half idle ride home (getting an earful from the fiancée) I got her back on the trailer and the only things holding the port drive on were the tie bar and external steering. It looks like the drive separated from the gimbal housing (?) at the two horizontal pins. I'm just glad we didn't lose the drive. I'll post some pictures asap. |

Wow!

How could the hinge pins let go without a broken ring?
|
Wow, I’ve never seen the pins let go without breaking the housing. Luckily you didn’t damage the other one from it hanging on. The thieves didn’t try stealing the drives, did they.😳
