Hi, I am looking for boat projects to buy and saw a Cigarette... they told me it’s a Cigarette 39ft. Offshore race boat probably around the 1977-1980’s when fabricated. It say in title it’s a Cigarette but, not the model, however when you look at it in the pictures it does not look like a Cigarette. Owner told me something about banana boats, that part I did not understand. But, heard something about that it was a Cigarette mold... can someone explain me what does the banana boat and cigarette mold mean (history wise) and if they are good hulls or if it is a custom?

The 1st 3 digits of a boats HIN is the manufactures code, CRT is Cigarettes

And the first 3 digits of a banana hin are BCV.
