Default What's the real deal???

I've been shopping for an entry level Cig and have been seeing a lot of these 92/02 or 88/01 retrofits. Typically they are Bullets. Is this a "safe" way to go? Am I just buying a Krylon rebuild? Also, is the Bullet a boat that could have endured the prior 10 years and will endure another?

I know this board has many qualified posters and would REALLY appreciate input here before I put my life savings (and possibly retirement) into it.

Thanks,
Bruce...

I have a 1988 and 1989 bullet. I am very happy with the cabin layout. The one thing you should consider is an enclosed head for privacy. I'm sure your wife/girlfriend would feel comfortable with that. Sure saves a trip to the marina while trying to soak up the sun. I bought the '89 in august and in the process of restoring it. It should be available for sale in the spring if you are interested.

The bullet is a great boat. It has one of the largest cabins in its class, and the enclosed head is great. Ours even has A/C. The 1991 and 92 have the notched transom and are supposed to be faster.

I think all in this forum can vouch for the strength and durability of a Cigarette. We are selling our bullet because we bought an old 36' Cig.

We will be happy to have our boat inspected and surveyed to ease any concerns. The boat is also still original Gelcoat, no krylon here.
