Default Swim platform for a known TG

This is going to be a stretch, but Ill try anyway. A buddy bought the 1990 TG that was for sale a few years back that was yellow/blue with the "38" race # on the side. 900's and #6 drives, I believe it was going cheap back then. Anyways, the boat was painted, but the swim platform was removed. All the mounting holes are still there for it. The guy he bought it from doesnt have it.... anyone possibly know where it is??? I know this is ridiculous...but i had to try. He doesnt want to drill more holes for a different platform. Any help....would help. I dont have a pic of the boat to remind you guys which boat it was, but I know 90% of you know them all! lol

I remember the boat, needle in a hay stack for sure, you could make a template from the existing hole and have one made ? you might reach out the Dustin ( Carters power boats ) in Broken Arrow, OK he restores Cigs

carter had that boat for a bit. I can’t believe they painted it without filling the holes? I could see if they had the platform but??

I would suspect it had the same squarish tube swim platform nearly all guns had from the late 80's through late 90's. Division1 is selling a nice grey / silver one for 1k off his same era gun. I would bet it lines right up. Worth a shot.

Cigarette Topgun

I just checked and it does look like a match from what was on it.

However, the boat was owned before by OSO member Cignificant Other / Steve and it seems he's the one that took the swim step off since there's pics with it on and then for sale pics with it off. I shot him a text to see if he knows where it is.

*****UPDATE - Steve said he sold the platform that was on it a few years back and confirmed it was a standard bolt pattern step from that era that Cig used.

I think this boat was bought and taken to New York for paint, I think Phill Hess painted it at Upstate Powerboat but not 100% sure!

Yankey and Janell Schmidt aka y_schmidt here on OSO and also "Chug Smith" on Facebook...

...recently went into business for themselves creating the EXTREMELY custom parts they have made for his own Cigarette Bullet----for everyone else.

https://www.facebook.com/YankeyCustomBillet/

Take a look at his work. He could easily match the existing holes and create a new swim platform to bolt right up. The FB page is brand new, and doesn't show 1/10th of what he has built.

Yankey and Janell are close friends of mine, and many of y'all know them. I've seen how meticulous Yankey is when it comes to designing, engineering, and creating stuff. It's AMAZING. You will not be dissatisfied; guaranteed.
