wanted cigarette project
Hello everyone, I am looking for a 30 to 38 foot cigarette for the project, this possible in Canada given the situation in the world.
Send me what you have if possible |
How big of a project? Like new interior and rebuild motors project or strip down to the stringers project? Doing the work yourself?
|
yes I do everything myself, I have already done stringer, transom etc. I am open to any project it all depends on the cigarette models if your worth it or not. all the interior is possible even if it is not in good condition, without motors without outdrive its not bothering either
|
This boat was cheap for what it is but sounded like it would need to be taken down to the stringers. It was in Canada but I can’t find the ad now. It had some blistering in the gel and then some sort of issue with a bulk head or stringer or something if I recall. The age, style and look of the boat is right. Just needs to be gone through. Think it was like 30-40k on the trailer.m with motors and drives.
there was a thread on this boat I can’t find it though. Maybe someone can find the ad or remembers who was selling it. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...283ceac6a.jpeg |
There is a TG in Fall River Mass thats a bit of a project and a Flat Deck in Ohio that needs some structural help from the sounds of it.
|
yes I remember the tg that you talk to in canada but I can't find it must surely be sold
|
There’s ruckus too. That’ll need to be completely gone through. Wet 6’s and blower motors.

I live in Montreal my English is not perfect, I am not at my first project according to what you can think, I have some projects to perform I always wanted a cigarette and in Canada they are very rare or extremely expensive for what they are, do not judge before knowing. I know a blower and wet 6 # I own it and I repair it from time to time, know the words ruckus that I did not understand and understood that it was the name of a boat
sorry, yes. ruckus is the name of a 38 top gun with wet 6’s and blown 900’s. It’s rough. Needs to be completely gone through. It’s in Chicago so you’d have to deal with getting it into Canada but might be worth throwing an offer out. It’s a cool boat. Just needs a lot of love. The founder of this website actually owned it in the 90’s. the link for the sale is posted above. |
There is a 38 Top Gun at Marine Max in Westbrook, CT. I took a look at it but it was not really for me. Definitely a project but it ran ok - but would need a bunch of work. It is listed at $83,750 but they will take $60,000 US.

That I believe is the 2003 35 that was listed by HMY forever. I called on it several months ago and spoke to the broker twice through email, both times he was going to get info and never did. Had 500's in it. The Tiger is just a decal. I couldn't imagine there being two identical like this. The ad is gone from what I could tell but if you google "Cigarette 35 Tiger" you will see pix of it. Wasn't a project that I knew of at the time unless it was a buyer beware.
|
How much? That's a good looking 35!
|
Was North of 90...if not 100K asking if I remember and if the same boat?
|
I don’t have any details at the moment and don’t want to intrude in their business but it has had some work done it at the shop where it’s stored and I can get thorough report on it as soon as it’s cleared for sale.

I could be wrong but I thought this boat had been in the Bahamas for quite awhile. |
There is a '79 - 36' in ON on Kijiji, owner doesn't think its a project by the ad. But it needs paint at the very least

Maybe so? This is a pic from the internet and same pix from when it was listed...unless it was brought back over and cleaned up? If you look just to the right of the helm it says "Tiger" and looks to be same paint and graphics.. Still couldn't imagine 2 with the same graphics and saying "tiger" on them?

I'm going to defer to Tank on this for sure, but while this boat has a "Tiger" paint scheme; I am unaware of anything but 'late model' 42' Cigarettes to leave the CRT factory badged as Tiger. I mention late model because there were some earlier 42 Cigarette flat decks.

maybe not a project but if you look closely at the last photo of the engine we see that the boat is in the water, look at the bottom of the boat there must be 1 foot of water accumulated

There's no question here. No 35 ever came out of the factory dubbed a Tiger. Someone just wanted it to say Tiger there and put the sticker on. That's a 35 Playboy / Mistress
