Default Me too!

I bought my first Cig last July, 1989 Cafe Racer. I'm done boating for the season and started refurbish last weekend; pulled the seats. Let's do this :-)

Guess I should throw some pics in too. It’s a cafe restore type of year! Nearly done now. 👍

Nice overhaul Tank. The gauge arrangement is super clean... you have to be happy with the outcome!

How effective are the cav plates?

i live the gauges and GPS. Love the way they turned out. Super happy. Put heads up drive and tab indicators in the dash so got rid of the stock set up.

i talked about the cab plates on another thread but I’ll say it again. I was FLOORED how well they work and the difference they make. My son in law owns his own shop in havasu and is doing all the work. He threw them on the new drives with out saying anything and when I saw it I was like WTF is up with the “whales tail”? I ran the boat a few weeks ago and put over 300 miles on it. Can’t even explain the difference. Crazy. Planes out right away with zero tab. I can run flat water with tabes you and drives kicked out a bit with zero porpoise. It’s crazy. They’re cheap too. I think like $275 or something a side.

here’s a video of us running a few weeks ago.

boats almost done. Comes out of paint next week. Then gets seadek and a few little things buttoned up and done.

She's 1990. Is yours the one I just saw that sold on Facebook recently (iirc with the hawk power) or is there a triplet? And what is that mounted in front of the receiver for your Nav light?

There's plenty of things im happy to buy from Lipship but that one would be a last resort. I found a guy yesterday who will make custom Delrin rollers for around 8 bucks each. Sent one off today for him to copy, should take a week or two. I will report back and post his details if they work out.

Yes it’s the one. I think it’s part of the old Northstar 800x I’ll be digging more into that when I update with a new GPS

If you decide to go blue, I've got seven OEM cabin pillows you are welcome to. I'm taking my cafe to a yellow motif.
