Default 39 Gone from the line up?

I was just looking at the Cigarette website and the 39 Top Gun is no longer listed? Did Cigarette discontinue it from the line up?

That’s old news now... 🙂
It sounds like it’s not a big seller but if you throw down the money, they’ll build you one!

Your link doesn't work, so I cannot read the old post. I guess I'm not really shocked, it seems everyone wants open decks and outboards.

Price on the 39 and 42x were similar so they just push the 42. Obviously if you are ordering they will make you a 39 but most like the length, the layout, the look of the 42 and the options.

I wish they would make something in the mid 30' range again.

I love my 39, hands down the best boat I have ever owned, but I think they missed the mark a touch by not making the boat 6" longer. This would have allowed everything to remain the same forward of the engine bulkhead, and given enough room in the engine bay to have a full stagger setup with transmissions. Outside of that overlook, I think the 39 is a fabulous boat. I'd buy another one without pause.

Pretty sure the main reason they dropped the 39 is because Mercury stopped producing the 700SCi (for awhile). Merc 860’s won’t fit in a 39, so they started pushing the 42X. Cig will build a 39 with 700’s, but still pushing the 42X if you want bigger power. If you’re looking for something with stock (small) power...a 38 with 565’s is perfect.
