Default few questions

Took the maiden voyage this weekend. What incredible boats these are! Here's what we got 03 Top top gun W575's.

(1)The throttles are they designed to have constant hand pressure on them? I know the water was a bit rough, but when i take my hands off they start sliding down to the idle position.
(2) When i got back to the dock i opened the engine hatch and noticed the steering fluid reservoir looked like a tornado was going on inside of it. I also noticed the fluid was kind of foamy. Is that normal? I have not noticed that on my other boats. Seemed a bit odd to me.
(3) Do these boats like trim or not? I didn't trim it much passed 4 on Saturday, what do you guys typically like to run these at. My Baja's you could trim to like 6-7 they liked. it. They are XR-drives with sport master lowers. 32p bravo props. Sorry for all the questions i like to be educated by real world experience with these boats.

Thanks Matt

I think your throttles are loose and need to be adjusted. For the most part they should stay put and not move.

More than likely you will find that a TS Gun will not need the amount of trim that a Baja without steps will take or need.

The tornado effect seems odd, what reservoir is it, my bottle stays constant at the full line when running at idle no swirling, foaming is air in the system, might be the reason for the tornado.

EDIT: 3 to 4 on the trim, does the boat have ITS ?

Its the Latham reservoir, I assume just cracking the nut loose on the top should bleed off the air if any in there?

The boat does have ITS

On the ITS system there is a block mounted on the inner transom where the lines connect, it has 2 bleeder screws to remove air from the system, I dont know what nut you are referring to

when I bought my boat out of OK it flagged here in Louisiana. spent years in Ok with a typo on the title. was a bit of work but got it straight. had to get both states to agree and produce a new title from OK. $500 bucks later it was fixed.

The tension on the throttles can be adjusted. Some people like them looser or tighter than others.
You probably need to unscrew and lift them out to adjust them
