Cigarette Sun Pad Logo
Contacted Cigarette to see if I can have a sun pad logo made for my 2000 Top Gun and this is what they sent me after 2 weeks of waiting:
IMPORTANT: Please note our customer support agents are only able to provide support and parts for vessels within seven (7) years of age. For older vessels we recommend contacting a local service shop or your Cigarette dealership. Additionally, Cigarette uses many readily available parts which may be purchased through marine supply shops. Additionally, due to available resources we are also unable to provide: “Boat lookups” - We are unable to do lookups of old vessels to determine paint codes or other items of interest. Assistance in rigging or X-dimensions - Please see a qualified mechanic and/or engineer for this assistance CE Certificates & DoCs - These are only valid for new vessels leaving the factory certified Trailer & bunk drawings for old vessels - Your lift or trailer manufacturer can measure the hull bottom Sorry for the inconvenience but we are unable to help you. Best of luck and feel free to contact us for inquiries within our guidelines. Thank you, Anyone know someone that is capable of making one for me in California or anywhere else? |

Call them and tell them you have $120 burning a hole in your pocket and you desperately need a towel with the logo on it.

This is one area Cigarette FAILS at. Both Formula and Outerlimits will give you any and all info about any boat they built. Outerlimits sent me complete build sheets on two boats I was looking at, and they knew I was only seriously interested in them and did not own either. For this reason, if I replace my 39 TG, it will be an Outerlimits it is replaced with. |

The lady that answers the phone will not put you thru to talk to anyone, she tell you to send an email. So you tell her you sent 3 emails and she says send another

I started writing this a couple times and stopped but I gotta say, I'm not making any excuses but Cigarette has been through many owners over the years that didn't manage information very well plus much of the old stuff was pitched into the trash when they moved from 188th St to the new building (you should've seen all the cool stuff they left behind that Steve Schuble got his hands on!). On top of that, Bud was always the one that they would forward the inquiries too for older stuff but alas, he is now retired. I don't see any research into older boat inquires getting any better under the new ownership. And not that I agree that they wont make an engine hatch logo for older boats, I do 100% understand WHY they wont. the time spent to income ratio just isnt there on top of it's a headache to go back and forth and potential to get into a pissing match over a $1k job just isn't worth it to tie up resources for when they're trying to keep up with new orders. Like I said, it is very unfortunate but I do understand their point.
Ken who'd you use? I'm going to look into getting one made when I redo my interior. |

Ive heard of issues with the chic on fb.. from shop that have used her... best bet for quality would be to work with the shops that cig worked with, such as Mike at Fineline, PPI, blue Marlin upholstery all are south florida based and have the ability to do the embroidery, Phil always has a line on getting many of the widgets that break for older boats and lists them on his site. My next job will go to fineline or blue marlin.

Bad azz!!
So will you just have your interior guy stitch it into the new pad in an oval pattern? |
Looks good. Not sure who did it, but seems like a relatively quick turn around time all things considered
