Playboy gets a face lift
What started out as just doing dash panels..... turned into, "Well, I might as well do this now...." Pulled motors, repainted bilge, re-rigged with all new loop clamps, repainted transom, have CMI making me a new set of thru hull tails, installed new ITS's, etc, etc..... going to have everything above rub rail repainted, and some touch ups on hull sides, and then replace interior.

"Well I've come this far, might as well........" Should be the tag line of OSO |
So true! LOL

Looks awesome man!!! ITS looks so much better on the back.
|
Looks nice, ITS is so much cleaner, tho bleeding it can be a PITA if not done right believe me I know..........
|
BAD AZZ Curt!
Right into the museum when you're done! :grinser010: |
Nice. What bilge paint did you use? Looks like gelcoat it came out so well. Of course now the problem is your going to want to keep it clean.
|
I sanded everything with, I believe 80 grit. Didn't go to bare glass, but cleaned/ruffed it all up. Then used oil based rustoleum, gloss white, and a Napa hardner... 1gal paint, 1qt of hardner. Applied with a brush and small roller. Lays on really thick too. I'm gonna have sea dek put in, between the stringers and on the front step.

Did you install ITS's from the standard bravo assemblies? I gotta figure out how to route and plumb the power steering and trim lines now.

its easy, still the 500efi?.. the only thing you need is the harden marine reservoir . I was having issues on my 20, i put the new reservoir on, ran the pump to it. tuned from lock to lock 3 times and system was bled. i salvaged the one from my 20, and it still works but has some corrosion on it. keep the bilge floor as smooth as possible, and even use a thick ceramic on it so if oil or anything leaks it will slide right off.

Tossing around the idea of having the stitching done in red, when I redo interior. What you guys think? Going keep the same light grey color.

Have ten 6.5" kicker speakers. Any idea what they might be worth?
Found a local gel coat guy, thats been around a while. So, instead of painting everything above the rub rail, this guy can fix the cracks and bring everything back like new. Will still be replacing rub rail tho. |
