thanks guys we are really excited. It’s located in CT and probably one of the nicest properties in the region. The house sits on 8 acres with panoramic views of the valley, resevoir, and orchards. It comes with a barn, pool, gazebo, and pool house. Part of the deal was a John Deere tractor with mower, snowblower, and seeder attachments. We also have orchard access for off roading, etc. it’s approximately 60 acres.

here are some additional pictures

Your place is beautiful. I fully understand how hard it is to use and maintain the boat with all the work it takes to maintain and enjoy your new home. I built this as a second home and try to juggle between using the boat and the house. I finally accepted if I only use the boat a weekend a month that’s okay.
I wish you luck in your new home and selling the Cig if you really want to. I think as the weather warms you may decide to hang on to it and enjoy them both.

thanks fellas!!! the 10’ fence is for deer. The orchard was convinced that installing a fence would significantly cut down on crop loss. Because the fence is installed on our property we have a lease agreement for full access to the orchard.

we were back and forth on buying this house or the neighbors. It had pool, pool house, gazebo, 73 solar panels, 3 garages in addition to the house garage, etc.

beautiful house!!!! My wife wanted a log home!!!

But yea, the boat already doesn’t see any use. This will make it worse. Who knows I may hang on to it come spring…but I also rather see someone else use it than it sit around collecting dust.

are you the one that made an offer on our boat? Haha

DrFeelgood 01-17-2023 05:36 PM

Looks like quite the spread. You might need to split up the mowing into multiple days, it looks like at least a 4-beer job.

I would write you a check right now if I could!! I wish financing "older" boats wasn't such a pain!

Almost impossible unless you want to pay crazy rates, and that was when I checked before all the rate hikes. Lightstream, is a option depending on how much you need.

Its not just old boats…money has become expensive to borrow in general whether it be houses, cars, etc. Which is kinda the point in high inflation environments.

my recommendation now depending on the persons mortgage situation…if you only have 10 years left refinance to a 10YR arm at 4.75% which isn’t horrible and borrow the money that way. Otherwise all of these specialty loan companies are going to be incredibly expensive.

Beautiful boat.

thisistank 08-29-2023 12:17 AM

I'm just absolutely shocked this boat hasn't sold. Good price and appears VERY clean. Was talking it up the other day to a gentleman that was looking at a Bullet. Someone should snatch this thing up.

I just think the economy has alot of people spooked to buy boats right now.

Not by the looks of the market! Post 2000 cigs are still selling for 30-50k more than they were selling for 5 years ago! boats are selling and inventory is still pretty slim.

But my theory on straight bottom cigs is theyre now a working man’s boat. Blue collar guys doing pretty good but for the most part don’t have cash liquid. In the past, these guys would get a loan with a decent down payment. Or get someone to carry paper or probably the majority of the time, pull cash out of their houses. However, now, liquid cash is still scarce for these buyers. Except interest rates are stupid to consider pulling money out of the house and most banks won’t loan on a these boats because of age and even if they did you’re still looking at high interest. So people either have to get creative with their financing (someone carries paper) they pull cash out of investments or they sit and wait to see what the market does.

with that said, I still think this boats worth every penny of 79 from the looks of the photos. If it’s even close to as clean as it looks. Again, someone needs to snatch it up.

That was my point. The wealthy will always have money. The economy effects the majority of the people that are the middle class.

yeah. For sure. I also think the inflation of a 38 cigarette doesn’t coincide to cost of living wage increases. Meaning we bought our 95 gun in 2005 for 85k. Philly made it happen and doable. But Now I look at 2013 guns (10 years old like our last gun) and you can’t touch one for under 300k it seems. I guess everything has sky rocketed except wages. Crazy.
