Nope pickwick is about 100 miles from me though. I spend most all of my time on Tims Ford Lake. Ok sized lake and deep with a few spots for stretching out on not so busy days |

87 Cig. I was wondering if you could do me a favor and measure the length from the stern rub rail to the center of the front windscreen. I am having a new cockpit cover made and the trim shop accidentally through out my original. The boat is in a storage barn but with being busy I can't get up there and measure it. Any help would be appreciated.

I missed it - where did they go and what was the result?
|
Heat stroke
I battled the 100+ degree temps all day in the shop with a mind set of only dropping one engine in but found a second wind and managed to get the other in also AGAIN rigged and plumbed minus exhaust ( will do tonight ) going to hang the drives back on and hopefully fire her back off again tonight and hope for all things good!

Square one
Back to square one. These engines are garbage blew up in less than 30 minutes run time at idle. What’s for sale?

got one with a midget in the block or oil pan banging with a 9lb hammer in it and the other is nearly locked up it seems and sounds awful. Had to swim it onto trailer they both started doing “ something “ at the exact same time. Pissed isn’t even the word. Lol |

Are you saying that the engines that you just pulled and had work done to failed immediately after you reinstalled them?
|

I’m pretty sick about it not gonna lie. Gonna get them rebuilt and hope for the best this go around and just start from scratch. I’m tired of pulling them out and reinstalling with less than 30 minutes of run time each time….. on the bright side she did see the water for the first time since I “ think “ 2016 but this is as far as she made it but I’m glad I finally got to float it and do a systems check on the hull and leak test on her lol…. Got all winter now to make her perfect I suppose. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...b2d66791f.jpeg |
Beautiful boat. Thanks for sharing your experience. You will get very going.
|
Are those risers dry to the tip? Are you getting reversion?
|

Careful
Careful whom you buy engines from on here thought I did good research and seemed stand up. I guess in todays world and times it’s money over integrity anymore these days. Curious to how some sleep at night. The truth will be told in due time.

Shop
Finally finished up on the shop I built for my project! Fixing to start tearing it BACK apart and taking the engines out for the 3rd time. On the bright side she has a nice new dry warm shop here at home to work on it. I call it the “ smoke shack “ haha.

the real question is do we ever really finish our ol classics? Lol I’m on year one and 4 months. Got to splash it once for about 20 minutes till the engines laid down again. Gonna pull them for the 3rd time and start all over! Thanks for the well wishes maybe it’ll all be worth it! |
