Off to the Bahamas on the Cig CC.

So oldest son started football and really can’t take any time off except this two week break. We were gonna go to Hawaii and deal with some stuff over there but then I was like, let’s go to Florida and drive around and visit friends as the boys haven’t been to Florida. Call buddy Kevin who currently has an 41GTS (but had a cafe, and owned out of control lipship zul powered gun and then the blue with stars 42x). I’m like we’re coming out. Then we get to talking I jokingly say, want to go to the Bahamas? and next thing you know, we’re gonna run the cc to the bahamas with both our wives and kids.

Flew out today after working all night, I’m exhausted but gotta say, his place doesn’t suck and we rollin across the Atlantic in the AM. Plan is to stay at the old Bahamas bay resort for 4-5 days and then do day trips to swim with pigs, snorkel a ship wreck and let the stingrays and bull sharks. Really stoked for the kids as this will be one of those stories they’re telling buddies when they’re old and sitting around talking about growing up “this one time we took a cigarette over to the Bahamas…” lifetime memories. I’ll be posting pics if there’s any service. But here’s a couple quick shots from the pool of the bay and the boat. Also, this was hanging in his garage. When he redid the engine hatch of his last cigarette he had the whole vinyl piece framed. Kinda cool. Never seen that done before.

i remember my dad taking me on a boating trip when I was young, hooked on boating ever since.

Definitely a trip you won't forget. This is what owning a boat is all about enjoying your friends, family and making memories. Be safe.

Wife and I kept talking about that. This is the type of trip kids will talk about for the rest of their lives. Running a cigarette boat through the Bahamas with family, epic.

been a fun trip. Kevin knows his way around out here pretty well. Even had a. With or of his show up randomly on his yacht. Kevin’s like a local in the Bahamas basically. Lol.

spoted this fountain this morning. Gotta say, it was nice. Guy said it was a 2020. Seemed like a wide been and had a dive door. Fountain hoping their game.

Just finished a great book, “11 yrs afloat” (or similar) that chronicled living on a boat in the islands, the weather, lack of infrastructure etc.

Very enlightening.

yeah, it’s nice over here but you’re reminded every now and again, it ain’t the US. we were talking with the kids about “don’t get hurt! We’re not in the states”

this cut we went through called the grand lucayan was a huge proposed developement started in the 60’s. Paved all the roads and prepped the lots dredged the waterway from east to west through island, built a hotel which was shuttered 10 years after being built. Only a handful of homes ever built and the hurricane took out most of those. So now this big ghost town exists and a weird waterway. It was cool to see though.

pics: I was told the water during last hurricane reached the bottom of the bridge in the pics. Trippy to see all these abandoned nice houses and then like 5 total still super nice homes that people are obviously living in or using as vacation homes. The loft with the cc was the only boat docked we saw in the whole area.

woke up to great seas. Nice and calm. Left port at 8:15 rolled into Jupiter around 9:30ish but we stopped in the middle of the Atlantic for a pee break. Made good time. Kids drove all the way home. Lol

yeah. we’re looking at some options. Another gun is looking like it’ll happen eventually. A Tiger isn’t completely off the table. But I think a gun would be best. We really liked our 95. Great riding, easy to tow, easy to store, etc.
