Curious, how much does that back seat piece weigh?
Mine may be getting some new interior work too. |

Thanks, I was told it weighed like 200lbs
|
How hard was it to get the side panels off? Did you just pull them with your hands or did you use something on them?

either other people are weak or we are really strong… I think 75-125 is accurate. |

side panels are held on by pine tree clips. Use a crow bar and a towel. Don’t force it because panels are wood and might crack. back seat comes out. 3 bolts thru the wall. 2 brackets on the floor. Remove electrical panel. It pulls right out. |
Thanks

Anyone try finding insurance lately on old top guns. A few potential buyers are saying they can’t find coverage.
|
That is going to be a big factor, almost impossible to find.
|
I heard that a few times especially with the big power 100+ MPH #6 gun we bought. When I searched it turned out not to be that difficult. Andy Holth at DCB quoted me, I had a group out of loto quote me but I ended up going with Devon Wozencraft. Half price, good coverage. Wasn’t an issue. Think it’s like 3800 a year no layup.

WIA at LOTO is a possibility

I couldnt get insurance and neither could a couple friends with cigs.
I had to lie about HP. Anything over 600hp forget it. Took 3 months to get covered and I called everyone My current cat is not insurable once it`s over 20 years old. It`s a 2004 . When I go to sell the new owner won't be able to get insurance. |

No believe it or not that makes it harder. I’ve been trying to get liability for my fully redone. Cigarette and no one will touch it. I have zero points on my drivers license it is getting really hard to ensure these older boats. It is a shame.
|
Well this thing is getting sold in the spring regardless…we just don’t use it enough. Sadly. I have no time.
I just want it to go to a good home. |
I don't know where you are located and I have a Fountain, not a Cig but, I just switched insurance companies because my previous co dropped marine policies. My boat is old but in excellent condition with a recent repower. I had to have a professional survey done and a few safety issues were noted which I fixed immediately. (blower motor, CO detector and new Fireboy system) My new policy is for 2x value of the previous policy and $100.00 less per year. Companies are out there, it just takes some work to find them.

Someone will pick that boat up it has a super reliable power package and can be used day of sale. It’s also not a ton of money in the boat price world. Know a days 100 grand Dosent get you a hole lot.
