I'm sure they used a Mercury trim pump on the newer boats? If so and you have access to the pump, you could use a multimeter on the Blue or Green motor lead and have someone hit your switch to see if you are getting voltage out of the solenoid. If you do no have a meter you can take a jumper from the 12V+ (Red Wire) on the solenoid to the solenoid coil, might have a blue wire for up and green for down. That would rule out your switch and wiring. If it did not work I would verify the motor by putting a jumper across the solenoid post. More than likely it will be the solenoid...............

That diagram was a HUGE help. When I put a meter on it, I had power through the down solenoid, but no power through the up solenoid. I used a jumper to bypass the up solenoid and the hatch went right up. I am going to order a solenoid and we will be back to 100% in no time.
