That’s a great idea to try it on a trailer. I found my steel trailer is in fantastic shape (dumping more money into it now to upgrade it) but the paint is original and starting to get chalky. Requiring constant waxing and polishing and putting linseed oil on it which I found will retain dust and dirt. I’m gonna have to try this stuff out. 10k paint job I was quoted to paint it doesn’t sound appealing.

Sharkhide is good stuff but has to be put on correctly . Right temp, prep the surface correctly and use a diaper only to apply.
I use it on my drives,, tie bar, prop shaft, and other stuff ... it`ll keep the lower shiny all summer. It`s a tough clear coat. I was going to try it on the exhaust tips this year. I really liked the monimal cleaning of Bad Kitty engines , everything was anodized black, super easy to keep clean with a simple wipe. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...dfffacdf57.jpg Be careful using Sharkhide on Stainless. I think it does best on aluminum. The guy that owned Lock & Load when he posted on here (when he was alive) - noted that it leaves a "rainbow" funky film on stainless. Possibly a bad reaction with that metal. I tried to do it on my exhaust and it really didn't work. then you'll have a heck of a time getting it all back off. Try an area before you go all out. |
Good call, I will try a small area first, thanks

I ran 17 1/2 34 first run.

Someone asked about White Diamond on aluminum, I just sanded, polished and then finished my forks on the road king with White Diamond, works well. Kind of like the old never dull but leaves the oiling film. Looks good.

One more from first run.
