I did end up with #6 Gun after all.
Lock and Load did not work out for me. Everyone involved was very patient and did everything they could to make the deal work. To my understanding someone brought a deal to the table before I could get it done.
With that said I ended up with the boat that made me know I wanted a staggered #6 Cigarette. Like Tank always says "buying the boat is just the admission ticket" is a very true statement. buying this boat turned out to be a very unique experience for my family and I. we couldn't be happier. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...1536c8af47.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...ebd237f2c8.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...0741463303.jpg |

Oh sh*t! The spider boat. WOW, right on. Good job still grabbing one of only a handful of stagger guns, and a notorious one at that! Too bad L&L didn’t work out but you’ll have fun in that boat for sure.
Congrats man! |
Thanks brotha... its a machine for sure.
|
Serious hardware in there!!!
have fun ! |
Wow, super sweet!
|
congrats, Bill had a great relationship with randy at cobra, those engines were amazing, it topped out at about 118.
|
WOW! I always liked that boat! Congratulations! Talk about an iconic flat bottom Gun! When you get a chance, can you fill us in on the details? I mean other than what was printed in the 4 sale add. I bet that boat had many wow factors seeing it in person instead of online. It's a hot rod for sure!

That thing is bad ass, now let’s hear about the power.
|
Bad ass! Was drooling over that boat when it was first listed. Saw the price reductions and knew it was only a matter of time before someone jumped on it.
|
I will keep everyone updated. This week its getting new impellers, oil/filters, drive/gear oil, transmission fluid, fuel/filters, batteries, belts, spark plugs. all the basics before we run the boat. like everyone has said it is way more impressive in person. I am excited for people to see it and appreciate it. I believe it is known to be the fastest straight bottom gun.

Oh wow! What a beautiful boat!
Enjoy. Padraig |
What are you gonna name it??
|
Congrats! I have always loved that boat. I bought my first boat from Bill Proctor's dealership back in the day, and this was always his toy stored in the corner. I've been out on it with him, and as I've said before you wouldn't believe the sketchy WOODEN boat ramp he used to launch this thing on in his backyard. That boat is a legend, and stoked to see it land in great hands!!

Congrats! Bad ass machine. Good luck with her.

im on the fence about actually putting a name on the boat. It was named relentless when Bill first had the boat.
I like "Top Five" Proceeded Reputation 1-OFF BIG BAD WOLF ... there's a story there. Not sure I want to put anything on it..... any suggestions? |
Naming boats can be bad Ju Ju Id leave it be..........:ernaehrung004:......I cant imagine the hours it took to paint it........Rollin Art
|
I agree.
|
'That Spider Boat'...
...because that's what everyone around you is going to call it. |
I’d name it “Staggering” - not just for the set up but as an answer to the age old questions you’ll get non stop - “how fast is it?” How much does it cost to fill up? How much fuel does it burn? but most of all for the feeling you’ll get when the bills start rollin in!becasuse it is quite staggering. Lol
I was thinking for half a second I’d rename our boat “Quiet Down!” because it’s so f*ckin loud but quickly realized I can’t rename our boat. Just wouldn’t be right Lol i think boats need naming. Plus if you’re going to register it via coast guard documentation to keep reg numbers off the bow you’ll have to have the name and hailing port on the back. |
thats pretty good....

Is there a story behind the paint scheme?
|
"STAGGERING" is great!...... I also like "VENOM" ,...If you name it now, going forward the new name will become synonymous with your boat! I mean, history starts TODAY !
|
I was just looking at the pics again on a standard desk top computer finally. That thing is clean! Question, are those the chiller dumps on the starboard side of the engine bay on each side of the fuel fill? I see a breather as well and there's a breather on the other side but those look like dumps.
Also, DAAAAAAAYUM that things gonna be loud. I was just looking at the exhaust set up! LOL When you gonna run 'er? |
Congratulations it's a very nice piece and completely unique.
