Factory Floor-‘04 TG
My ‘04 Gun has the ‘cheese grater’ floor in it. I’ve been avoiding on dealing with it and have just been going the carpet route. Was thinking on finally doing Sea Deck. How do I remove the original floor? I’m imagine using heat of some kind and a lot of frustration. Thanks in advance.

Go with Maine Mat they use snaps instead of glueing it down, you can go over the old floor without removing the old floor.
|
My seadeck it just on top of the cheese grator
|
Interesting. You can’t feel it thru the Sea Deck? And Sea Deck sticks to it? Thanks
|
I would recommend the snap in route as well. The glued on stuff does eventually peel and shrink. It also gets dirty and worn if you don’t stay on top of it. AND from what I understand getting the glue off when you swap
out is a NIIIIIGHTMARE. We did Seadeck in the cafe and im getting ready to do it in the gun but it’ll be the snap in. Or we may do carpet again. We’ll see. |
whats the cheese grator........:party-smiley-004:

I just put Marine Mat right over my cheese grater (feet grader).
I have snaps on my foot rests, but I just laid the rest of the carpet in. Makes it really easy tp pull out and clean with simple green. I’ll dig out a pic. |

Kinda curious on this, too. Our PQ has a fairly fine diamond pattern on the floor, but we've never found it to be too aggressive for bare feet. Just curious.... Thanks. Brad. |

Do the new Cigs come with carpet or seadek?

H20 already responded. It’s the pirelli floor found in a lot of 2004-2015 ish…cigarettes
Ah. Missed that. So it’s an installed flooring, not molded in? Thanks. Brad. |

who’d you order through? Can I just call your guy and say send me a set in grey and red?! 😁
we spent a lot of time getting the dimensions right. Quarter inch here, quarter inch there. As you know, not mass produced so we templated my specific boat to get it close. mine is Marine Mat. |

I like to use the thicker triple layers (9mm) .
It`s softer. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...6431932214.jpg |
I don't know if the new boat has seadek brand or not, just know its waayyy more comfortable

To F2’s comment, that’s exactly what I was concerned with.

So what do these flooring/carpet guys generally charge to make just a cockpit replacement? I don't want snap-in or glue down. My current factory carpet just lays in. I have a 1.inch building foam pad under it.

I think i still have a blue lay in for my 02 somewhere.
