Who wants to play the ‘what prop?’ Game. Boat has the following:
-2004 Top Gun
-brand new 700’s tuned by Mark Boos to stage 2 (assuming 800hp)
-ITS
-SCX uppers
- -2 lower with 1.34 gears
-380 K Planes

Trial runs:
-32P Barvo 1’s
-98 mph at 5200 rpm (keep in mind rev limiter is now at 6K)

-30P Baro 1’s
-95 mph at 5400 rpm
-great mid range acceleration

anyone running a similar set up? Guy I meet at Cig Rendezvous had similar set-up at 800 hp and ran 105, of unless he was jacking with me. Thoughts? Thanks

Im running 32's similar power ITS and -1 lowers with 1.50 gearing...........TS Gun and it was still pulling

So Mark didn't dyno your engines ? if so ID be interested in seeing how much more power they made above 5400...........the 1.34 might be hurting a bit...

Bought the motors new from Mercury last year. Waited for 1 year warranty to expire. Sent ECU’s to Mark to flash. Talked to him early this week. Said with tune, right at 800hp. You maybe right about the lowers gearing.

Gotcha, he tuned my ecm's also............Im sure he's done a bunch of 700's with dyno tunes he could dump into your's 555 controlers

Speedy, what rpm are you seeing at that speed?

around 5200 5250 iirc..........in all fairness my boat is light, no cabin and carbon fiber deck, and your's ?

Full cabin, etc….

-2 shorties may be slipping. I know we just figured this out on my old T/S Gun. I was over 800 HP and never could crack 100. barley hit 95.
Way too much slip on mine. I was full SCX but drives were way high.
