Well yes, provided the dryer vent hose is still attached. The four NACA ducts on the sides of the hatch will turn into exits once you’re going fast enough to pressurize the engine bay. The only other opening in the engine bay is the two runs of 4” PVC pipe that run to the helms. The carpet on the right where the little cooler inset is is getting wet and the upholstery is damaged now. This boat is inside 9 months a year and only on my lift during the summer. If that’s dryer venting all the way from those vents to the bilge then I’m sure that stuff has deteriorated and needs to be replaced. Just not really sure where it’s routed….. |

I’m that case you might want to check the hatch gutter drains. Plastic tubing connects the gutter to an overboard drain on the side of the deck just above the rub rail. That tubing may have cracked or come loose from the nipples. Irregardless you’re probably looking at dropping the head liner. As far as the dryer vent routing it runs just on top of the 4” PVC pipes where all the control cables and wiring are routed. |

On second thought….
The blower hose has to connect to an outside source from somewhere. I think the NACA duct on the deck might be that source. I removed my blowers and dryer vent ducts first opportunity I had but I’m thinking they were connected at the bulkhead fittings I sent the photos of earlier. The opposite side of the blower hose was clamped to the transom and terminated just above the notch……I think.
Blowers? We don’t need no stinking blowers. |
