I did get it gong and running well with the shortened lowers. (25" setup and ECO Inerita props)
It ran around 65mph all topped out - with a full water tank and loaded up with everything - but takes forever to get there. that's OK, there's nothing to hang on to anyways. I'm fine if it does 50mph. |
I don’t have a Cig (Mti here), but I love it when this event happens because I get to watch and listen to you all go ripping by my house at the 24.5mm!

Come on out and hang!

I was $1250 R/T in diesel from west of Portland to Havasu for Desert Storm. That's at 12.1mpg

Think it's like 6.25 in Havasu and keeps dropping as you drive east. On average, looks like it's going to cost about $1300 each way in fuel - 1800 miles, 8 MPG (average hopefully), $6 a gallon average....Picked a bad time to tow cross country! :picard1::snide:

When I ordered my new truck in 21 during COVID, I really wondered about my motor choice. I got the ford 7.3 Gas "Godzilla" motor rather than the oil burner.
It was another $9800 for the Diesel and since I live on a canal, I do not tow every time. With the 10 speed it has plenty of power and has no issues with any of the boats or my camper. Now when I travel with my friends and they get 2 mpg better but are paying $1.00-$1.30 more per gallon plus DEF, yeah glad I have a gas motor.

Nice truck Tank, Love the wheel tire combo.
I wish I would have waited on prices but was still using a 96 OBS ford that was chipped, exhaust and intake. Pulled great but 45 min on the road and you were hating life. I swear on those old trucks when you ran over a cigarette you could tell if it was filtered or un filtered. |

And thanks, it's a 3" lift on 35's / 20" Method wheels. Fox shocks all around. Didn't need the helper bags since its a 3500 and has the helper leafs. no sag. The ride in that new truck is pretty amazing. And the interior is as nice as a benz! lol It's the wifes truck really. Originally lifted it 6.5" on 37's but it was too high for her so we dropped it down to 3" lift. |
Bring some jerry cans when you come out. Diesel here running about 4.95-4.99 in town around the Lake. A couple places are around 4.80 There is a place close to Performance called Rapid Roberts, they usually beat everyone on fuel prices.

You know you've got a bad ass boat when you have to schedule a truck to deliver the fuel to you :D

I’ll be happy if it under $6! lol. I was actually wondering where to get 100 / AV gas out there. I hear no one has it at the pump but Brett said they can order it.

lol. I don’t “have to” run it I just like that it will potentially limit pre detonation and just seems to run cleaner and better. I’ll usually mix it with 91 or sometimes just fill up with it, depending on where I’m getting it. In ca you have to get it from the airport in our town which can be tricky. But they only charged like $6.50 a gal for 100LL. In az they have 100 and 110 at the pumps in a couple places. 100 non ethenol is like $8.25 110 is $10 a gal but that was before gas hikes so I don’t know what it is now. Barrett ordered me sunaco 95 for Supercat, it was 9.50 a gal. I didn’t like it as much as the 100 though. But I think there’s still 100 gal of it left so will finish that off.

I believe Camden has 110 at the pump.
The Osage Beach airport is off of Osage Beach Pkwy between between Nichols and KK. Not sure if they will sell to anything but planes though. Grand Glaize Airport (K15) | Osage Beach, MO - Official Website |

Yes they have 100+ octane and it is pay at the pump if an attendant is not available.
|
I checked with the airport, they have a truck that drives up to the planes. They can accomodate boats but only if it`s not busy. Best to call ahead.
I use Boostane but a little extra lead is nice but that`s bad for the lake isn`t it? |
Should be some exciting new info about this event being announced soon.......
Gonna be a great run! |

Gonna be a great run! JK!!!!! The news should be very well received. The last time I was at LOTO, several of the new pertinent locations didn't exist. Mel and I arrive on Thursday, and I can't wait to get back out on LOTO. |
